A staycation to remember in Streetsville
Summer events in the Streetsville
First Friday in The ‘Ville
First Friday in The ‘Ville provided great entertainment through sound and local handmade vendors to shop!
We shopped a selection of local vendors and enjoyed listening to local talent while our Littles were able to dance and play.
It’s the perfect night out for the whole family.
Enjoy free live music every Friday from 7-8:30pm.
The Summer Music Concert Series presented by the City of Misissauga Culture Division brings local artists to the Square every Friday until September 1st.”
To see the lineup visit;
You can find this local event next, Friday, September 1st, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm in the Village Square.

Summer Market
The Streetsville Summer Market takes place every Saturday until September 9th.
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Streetsville Village Square. Located at the heart of Streetsville, at Queen St. S and Main St., the market features farmers, artisans, crafters, unique food vendors and more!
We shopped for fresh produce and so many fun items for our Littles and friends.
You will find great local vendors, listed by date here.
The whole atmosphere of Streetsville is fun and vibrant! We loved shopping the market and exploring the area for all the local shops and restaurants.

There’s always so much to do…
Know where to park
Shopping, shopping, shopping
We walked along Queen Street South and enjoyed their local shops.
The Book Wardrobe was our Littles favourite. Located upstairs from The Tea Room it features a good selection of books for Kids & Adults.
Both our Littles left with a new bedtime story for the night.
I highly recommending The Tea Room to add to your tea collection or stop and dine in.
I found love at Catalyst and Co where I shopped for a new bracelet, earrings for my Littlest and browsed their huge gem collection.
If your Littles love to create and use their imagination I highly recommend you check out the Nutty Kids Club. They offer after school programs, camps and in-class programs. It’s hands on fun.
My Husband and Son could not wait to visit Hobby Hobby. Your one-stop-shop for all things model cars, remote control cars and more.
Crafted Decor offers the most beautiful household items including home decor and handmade soaps.
I had to stop in to Skintricate Tattoo Company to plan a minimalist piece in tribute to my Littles.

Let’s eat!
We had the most delicious dinner I’ve ever had with Border MX Mexican Grill. I literally still dream of our dinner.
The patio is fun and it’s perfect for our Littles who sometimes need the fresh air and space to stretch their legs. They even offer a delicious kids menu!
We enjoyed the Volcan for 2 people. I can’t tell you enough how much I crave their food.
After dinner we visited Murphy’s Ice Cream Parlour and treated ourselves to a cone of our favourite ice cream.
Of course, the famous Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza is a popular choice with a super fun patio set up.
Across the street you will find Kate’s Town Talk Bakery.
My Husband was delighted to see the BeaverTails storefront.
I couldn’t resist the cute pink door and delicious scents of Little Rose Cookie Co.

A floral escape
Located beside the home of the Streetsville BIA is the Streetsville Pollinator Garden.
The beautiful, large garden is full of perennial plants in bloom. We were able to witness butterflies and bees in motion while the kids took in all of the sights and scents of the garden.

Rich in History
Streetsville is home to the highest concentration of historical buildings in all of Mississauga.
The town is full of history in every corner including their stationed waterwheel and army tank.

School of Rock
We had the opportunity to not only watch the School of Rock perform live in the Village Square but also let our Littles join in on one of their classes.
The School of Rock located centrally in Streetsville offers a wide variety of music lessons for all ages.
Our Littles joined in on their Little Wing class which is geared towards ages 3-5 years of age.
They were able to practice different instruments including the drums, electric guitar and microphone while allowing their musical abilities to grow.

Relax by the water
Visiting Streetsville Memorial Park at the end of our stay had me reminiscing on my childhood visits!
Located along the Credit River and just steps away from Streetsville you will find a playground, a trail, and a public pool!
Our Littles enjoyed playing at the playground which includes a sand floor. I suggest packing your shovels and buckets for extended play!
We loved that the Credit River is just steps away from the playground. You can pack a picnic blanket and enjoy a local takeout by the water either near the park or across the bridge on the island .
The island is a big grassy area outlined by large trees and the river.
Before the bridge to the left of the bridge you will find the Culham Trail. The flat, gravel trail is just over 5km, out and back along the Credit River.
And of course, the Vic Johnson Community Centre where you will have access to washrooms, a public pool and skating rink.
