Arrowhead Provincial Park

Arrowhead Provincial Park

Arrowhead Provincial Park @ontarioparks in Huntsville was our next stop and bucket list hike.

We chose the Stubb’s Falls trail. It was just over 2km’s, looped, with a waterfall in the middle.

The trail was wide and mostly flat (with roots sticking out) and there were a set of stairs to go down to the waterfalls and back up to continue the trail.

We reserved ahead to visit Arrowhead by visiting the Ontario Parks reservation page.

The reservation system opens up 5 days ahead of the booking date.

Pay per car for day use.

You can then hike all the trails you want inside the park.

We chose just one so the littles could keep up and it was pouring rain all day.

I read a lot of comments on the preferred hike between Arrowhead and Algonquin since they are both stunning and in close proximity and a lot of people said to hike Arrowhead.

Next year I’ll be more prepared to hike Algonquin during peak season (when the leaves are at their peak colour).

We just missed it and with all the rain most of the trees were bare when we left.

Bathrooms on site.
