🏞 Dundas Peak & Tews Falls @hamiltonconservation in Dundas is beautiful!
The walk starts out with a viewing platform where you can enjoy the sites of Tews Falls. I never get tired of all the waterfalls in our area!
From there it’s about a 1.5km to the ‘peak’ through a trail designated as one way ➡️.
I wouldn’t say this trail is stroller friendly but bring the carrier if you have one.
There’s a big flight of stairs right after Tews Falls (as pictured) and the trail itself has a lot of hills, stumps and bumps and it borders the edge of the escarpment.
Since the last time I visited in 2019 they’ve added fencing along the path (in some areas) and surrounding the peak which made me feel so much more comfortable since you’re so high up.
Once you’ve taken time to visit the peak you continue following the one way trail back to the parking area.
In total the hike is about 2.9kms.
Reservations are required and a two hour time limit is enforced using wrist bands.
Portapottys on site (by the parking lot).
Highly suggest it!
