Letchworth State Park
My Hubs and I took a random road trip to Castile, New York!
It’s located around 2.5 hours from Halton.
Letchworth State Park @letchworthstatepark in Castile, New York has a very cool hot air balloon festival happening this Memorial Day weekend.
So we hoped in the car, I searched ‘Archery Field Overlook’ Castile, New York and it brought us right to where the balloons were set to inflate.
Park admission between 9-5pm was $10USD and payable by credit/cash/debit at a machine by the gatehouse.
Check @balloonsoverletchworth for updates on tonight’s 6pm balloon launch. They are very weather sensitive.
The park alone was SO cool. It has THREE huge waterfalls. It’s gorge to the Genesse River is MASSIVE. I can’t even explain how beautiful it was.

Bring chairs, water, food.
I would suggest getting there long before 6pm to explore the park, see all the waterfalls and find a good spot.
