Niagara Glen Nature Centre

Niagara Glen Nature Centre

Niagara Glen Nature Reserve @niagaraparks in Niagara Falls has been on my bucket list FOREVER!

Part of the reason I never went was the distance but also the unknown of hiking here.

I finally found a kid free day to take a girlfriend and head out.

I don’t know why I waited so long but the fall colours right now made it sooooo pretty.

Parking is at Niagara Glen Nature Reserve and it’s pay to park.

To start and end the hike down the Niagara Escarpment there is a metal staircase (pictured).

Then you can choose to go left or right once at the bottom and follow one of the 9 trails.

We chose to go left on the orange trail (cliff side) and continued into the purple trail (terrace) towards the turquoise trail (river) to the dark blue (eddy ) and back up to orange (cliff side).

If you want to get right to the beautiful hike you could go right at the bottom of the stairs towards the eddy trail.

Most trails are considered moderate difficulty.

Trails span around 4km’s in total.

You could hike all the trails in one day.

Hiking takes you through rocky portions, rock-made stairs, along the edge of the water and may be slippery.

I HIGHLY suggest making time for this hike.

I’m sure it’s a popular place come weekends but it’s so worth getting out to explore the turquoise blue waters and stunning views.
