Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge

Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge

Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge has been on my bucket list forever!

Located in the small town of Campbellford it has become quite the tourist attraction!

We used the winter parking lot at – 15 Trent Dr, Campbellford

There is a beautiful trail system on the other side of the bridge. It is located in Ferris Provincial Park. The trail is free to hike while visiting!

The bridge was completed in 2004 by the Canadian Armed Forces.

At its brightest point it sits 35 feet above water level. It’s a bit of a rush walking the bridge as you can see the fast, dark moving water below.

The bridge is 301 feet in length!

It took us around 2 hours to get to the bridge. It was a whole day road trip for us. We stopped in the town of Warkworth. Then we visited The Big Apple @bigapple401 on the way(ish) home!

I’m starting to cross things off my list that are a bit further away. If this is too far for you, just bookmark it for later! Especially in the fall when the colours come to life.
