A Unique Staycation close to home
We just finished our second camping experience with Bingemans in Kitchener. We had such a great time when we last visited. So, we had to add it to our 2024 staycation list and I’ll tell you why below.
We love rare accommodations, it’s an added bonus!
Both times we’ve camped at Bingemans we stayed in their shipping container’s. Think – actual shipping container turned tiny home. They provide you with two bunk beds, one with a double bottom for added room. You can also expect a mini fridge, small table and two chairs and an air conditioner.
You will need to pack your own sheets, blankets and pillows to make you feel at home. You will be limited on space to pack food so bring a cooler or try out Frannie’s Restaurant and Bakery or just stay close by and dine in at Boston Pizza located at Bingemans.
You will enjoy the campsite for the views of the Grand River and a hiking trail just steps away.
There are many suitable options for accommodations. You can bring your own RV or tent, rent a cabin or one of the newest options, a luxury shipping container (swoon).
There is endless fun at your fingertips…
If you have visited Bingemans before or even if you haven’t, you would be surprised at how much there is to do for all ages.
My kid’s love their outdoor amenities such as their pool and two options for mini golf at Hole in Fun to start.
Bingemans is home to Big Splash, a super fun waterpark. You can expect to find an amazing kid’s splash section with a dumping bucket, a wave pool, epic water slides, cabana rentals and more.
Plus, check out all the fun their season pass entails.
Aside from the epic waterpark we have been enjoying Funworx, the LARGEST indoor playground in the region. Funworx includes a three level indoor playground, Gameworx, the region’s largest arcade with a great prize selection and a super fun ropes course recommended for ages 6 and up or 45lbs and up.
We have attended many birthday party’s here or have stopped in to enjoy dinner at Boston Pizza and a fun day at Funworx.

But wait, there’s more!
You can also expect fun attractions like Escapeworx, an immersively physical fantasy world escape room or Axe throwing.
We recently tried bowling with Kingpin Bowlounge Kitchener where there are 28 state-of-the-art Brunswick lanes. Enjoy food or beverages from Boston Pizza while you bowl. We loved experiencing Spark, a completely mesmerizing scoring experience where your lane comes to life and it’s more than just bowling. Our kids LOVED it.
Right now Kid’s can bowl free with Kingpin Bowlounge between June 30 and August 30th at select times. To find out more and register your children, find out more here.
Bingemans ALWAYS has fun events you should attend
On top of all the non-stop fun we had while camping, we also enjoy their seasonal events.
You can enjoy a fun comedy night with Yuk Yuks at Kingpin Bowlounge.
A crazy amount of fun with https://bingemans.com/oktoberfest/events where you can expect to see Matthew Good and is band and Simple Plan.
Screampark is always a hauntingly good time, this haunted experience has 6 horrifying attractions to choose from, if you dare!
Two of our favourite family traditions with Bingemans is their Gift of Lights and Jingle Bell Rock event where you can expect a magical light display, giant light sculptures and musical animations.
