THEMUSEUM @themuseumkitchener in Kitchener was a great way to share an adventure with our cousins!
We reserved our spot online using their reservation system.
Currently, they have a Murdoch Mystery exhibit on the third floor where tickets are required.
They have a new immersive exhibit coming soon and I’m so excited to check it out.
I suggest starting on the top floor and working your way down.
The top floor is all about your five senses!
Walk thru the forest of pool noodles.
Lay on a bed of nails (as pictured) which is a bucket list worthy item.
Play in their ‘cork’ sand and learn about landforms.
Run through a dark room and have your shadow lit up.
Climb through a room of balloons and while you’re waiting to enter – make some music at all the interactive stations.
They even have a mini planetarium with scheduled shows.
On the second level they have interactive music stations.
The main level is an open space of fun including giant brain flakes, legos and building blocks.
There are fun light and video features.
For children under 4 enjoy the sensory room. It’s a dark room full of touch, feel and lights. My littlest loved this room.
The basement has a big water table with panels to control the current and boats to test it out. I suggest this floor last because there’s a chance they’ll get wet.
They also have fun maker workshops available in the basement by registration through their website.
There is plenty of tables and chairs to unpack a snack or lunch.
We used paid parking at the back which has access to the museum so we could leave our coats in the car. It’s a big green spiral car park – you can’t miss it.
There is a big coat room in the museum.
Enjoy the gift shop on the way out.
